Great Expectations part UNO

Great Expectations is a hard book to read for me because there is a lot of words I don't know. I don't really like this book so far. I like stuff more like NOT CLASSIC but I do like stuff that has action and magic like Harry Potter and Fablehaven. Anyways, so far, I've learned that there is a kid named Philip Pirrup. He liked to be called Pip. His mother and father died along with his 5 brothers. His sister, Mrs. Joe, married a blacksmith named Joe. Pip  is living with his sister. I wouldn't like to be in Pip's shoes because his sister hits him and beats him if he does something wrong. He also gets threatened by a man that looks like he escaped out of jail. I think Pip is kind of sad and scared because his family had died except his evil older sister. I think that Pip will get used to the beatings and the threats but he wouldn't want his kids to go through what he did.
