Great Expectations Chapter 28 & 29

In chapter 28, Pip went to the Blue Boar, back in his hometown, and he saw two convicts. His roommate, Herbert, was with him and he was asking Pip questions like, "Don't they seem just terrible?" or something like that. Pip noticed that one of the convicts was the one who 'brought him down with the imaginary gun.' Pip followed them outside. When he fell asleep on the ground, he heard them saying, "So he got the kid to feed him and then he payed him? I would've spent it all on other stuff."

In chapter 29, Pip went to Orlick's house. I didn't really understand this chapter. Orlick had moved. When Pip asked him when he moved, he said, "I don't know, a while after you left." That is all I understood.

  1. If Pip was in his hometown, did he visit Joe? If not, why?
